Brief
TVNZ has announced a one-off $44.95 event pass for live and on-demand coverage of every FIFA World Cup match, alongside some free-to-air broadcasts.
In-depth
The broadcaster said the pass will give viewers access to all 104 matches live and on demand, together with clips and daily highlights and analysis across the tournament.
The FIFA World Cup runs from June 12 to July 20 NZT and will be staged across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
TVNZ said some matches will still be shown free-to-air, including the All Whites' games against Belgium, Egypt and Iran, while the paid pass covers the full tournament.
The company said the new product is part of a broader shift toward a digitally led media model and is intended to create an additional revenue stream to support future content investment.
